He is proud to be a part of a practice that specifically makes a difference for his patients, not only by giving them outstanding dental care, but by creating an exceptional experience as well. He updates his education in many areas of advanced dentistry including cosmetics, orthodontics and endodontics. He attended seminars and hands-on courses with The Hornbrook Group and Pac-Live Aesthetic Continuum.  In 2016, Dr. Persinger graduated from the prestigious Kois Center located in Seattle, Washington.  A premier post-graduate program, the mission of the Kois Center is to deliver the latest advances in esthetics, implants and restorative dentistry. Dr. Persinger feels this education enables him to deliver the highest level of care to our patients.

Dr. Persinger's professional affiliations include: The American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and North Carolina Dental Society.

Originally from the small town of Hartville in Northeast Ohio, Dr. Persinger moved to Charlotte in 1998 and has spent the last ten years in Cornelius. He and his wife Tracie have been married for 25 years. They have a daughter Madeline, a son Justin, and a golden-doodle named Cali.

The family stays active by boating, playing tennis, riding dirt bikes, and skiing. Dr. Persinger’s passion is mountain biking, and he can often be found on the many excellent trails around the area!

Kevin Tsui, DDS, MS

Dr. Tsui

Dr. Kevin Tsui’s profession means the world to him. His interest in dentistry began in middle school and was inspired by his hometown dentist. The amount of joy his dentist brought to his patients and how respected he was in the community made a great impact on how Dr. Tsui saw his future.

Dr. Tsui does not take for granted the opportunity that dentistry gives him to influence the lives of countless people. Working with so many unique people every day has taught him to be incredibly appreciative of those around him. Whether he is doing a filling or multiple crowns, every procedure is just as important and requires the same high quality that he demands from himself as the next procedure.

Dr. Tsui completed his undergraduate studies in biology at UNC Chapel Hill. He then earned his Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Tulane University. He returned to UNC Chapel Hill to complete his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Dr. Tsui’s commitment to continuing education allows him to remain updated about the newest technologies and techniques. He participates in continuing education through multiple organizations not only to remain updated, but also to provide the best possible treatment options and outcomes to his patients. He has completed continuing education through the Charlotte Implant Study Club and the Spear Study Club.  At least annually, he travels to the Spear Education Center in Scottsdale, Arizona and has completed seminars on “Treating the Worn Dentition” and “Facially Generated Treatment Planning”.

Dr. Tsui’s professional affiliations include:  The Charlotte Dental Society, American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society.

Originally from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Dr. Tsui has lived in Charlotte for the past four years. You can more than likely find Dr. Tsui at an indoor rock climbing gym, or out at one of his favorite restaurants around Charlotte. He enjoys staying active through tennis and golf, and has a passion for traveling and classical music. In addition to cheering for the Carolina Panthers, he is a huge UNC Tarheel fan!

Molly McCurdy, DDS

Dr. Molly McCurdy is excited to bring her joy of creating art and caring for patients to Waterside Dental Care. She takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and create lasting connections for a lifetime of better dental health. When you see her for an appointment, your comfort and well-being always come first.

Dr. McCurdy attended Florida State University in Tallahassee for her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology with a minor in chemistry, and she later went on to receive her dental degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Beyond her education, she plans to continue to enhance her technique through involvement in the Kois Center and by taking advanced courses on dental implants, root canals and cosmetic dentistry. As a dental professional, Dr. McCurdy maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society and the Charlotte Dental Society to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry. All of her continuing efforts to learn and grow as a dentist are in the interest of caring for her patients more efficiently and effectively.

Dr. McCurdy cares deeply about providing care that makes her patients feel more comfortable in the chair and confident about themselves. She views oral health as an integral part of one’s overall health, and her approach centers both your physical health and mental health as equally important. To this end, Dr. McCurdy has taken mental health first aid training at UNC and she cares deeply about helping patients who feel anxious at the dentist.

When Dr. McCurdy is not at the office, she loves going on hikes, playing tennis and pickleball, watching Marvel movies and traveling to beautiful and exciting places.
